What AI video actually costs

One credit balance, every model priced in it. A five-second clip starts at 20 credits ($0.57 on Spark); eight seconds of VEO 3.1 Pro with audio is 320 ($9.12). AIGE shows the number before it runs, so nothing is a surprise.

Features

What's included

The price is quoted before the run

Every generation shows its credit cost while you're still choosing the model, the duration and whether you want audio. You approve the number, then it runs. Nothing is metered after the fact.

One balance across every model

Kling, VEO and OVI bill in the same credits, so switching model is a number you can compare rather than a second subscription and a second invoice.

Duration and audio are the two levers

Video is priced per second, so a clip's length moves the cost more than anything else. On VEO, audio is included at the same per-second rate; on Kling V3 it is a separate, dearer rate.

Failed generations don't keep your credits

Charging is server-side. A run that fails returns its credits to your balance instead of billing for an output you never received.

Credit prices are the live values in AIGE. Dollar columns are the plan's own rate per credit — $0.0285 on Spark ($8.55/mo for 300 credits) and $0.0200 on Cosmos ($230/mo for 11,500 credits). Forge and Nova land between the two.

Audience

Who it's for

Costing a week of posts

A daily carousel plus two short clips a week is mostly image credits — the clips are the line item to plan around. Pick the cheaper model for filler and spend the expensive seconds where the motion carries the message.

Deciding between Fast and Pro

VEO 3.1 Fast is 60 credits for four seconds against 160 for Pro — the same clip at roughly a third of the price. Draft on Fast, and spend Pro credits only on the cut you're actually publishing.

Budgeting a plan, not a generation

Work backwards from the plan's credits: Spark's 300 credits is about 8 five-second Kling clips, or roughly 37 images, or any mix of the two.

When AIGE makes sense

AI video is priced by the second, and the spread between the cheapest and the dearest model is more than ten to one for the same length of clip. The useful question is not which model is cheapest but which seconds are worth the expensive model — that is a decision you can only make when every price sits in one unit, in front of you, before the run.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to generate an AI video?

In AIGE, a five-second clip runs from 20 credits (OVI) to 84 credits (Kling V3 Pro with audio). Eight seconds of VEO 3.1 Pro with audio is 320 credits. On the Spark plan that is $0.57 to $9.12; on Cosmos, $0.40 to $6.40.

What is a credit worth in dollars?

It depends on the plan, because a bigger plan buys credits cheaper. Spark is $8.55 for 300 credits — $0.0285 each. Cosmos is $230 for 11,500 credits — $0.0200 each. The credit price of a generation is the same on every plan; what changes is what you paid for the credit.

Is VEO 3.1 worth the extra credits over Kling?

For a published hero clip, often yes; for drafts, rarely. VEO 3.1 Pro at 160 credits for four seconds is about 4.6× a five-second Kling V2.6 Pro clip. VEO 3.1 Fast sits between them at 60 credits and is the sensible default for iterating.

Do I pay if the generation fails?

No. Credits are charged server-side and returned to your balance when a run fails, so a failed generation does not cost you credits. You do pay for a completed generation you dislike — the cost is in the render, not in your opinion of it.

Can I buy credits without a subscription?

No. AIGE is subscription-based: the free plan gives you 25 credits to start and 5 more each day, and one-time credit packs are available to accounts already on a paid plan as a mid-month top-up. There is no anonymous pay-as-you-go purchase.

Does the price change once I've started?

No. The credit cost is quoted before the run and that is what is charged. Changing model, duration, resolution or audio re-quotes the number before anything runs.
