Connect AIGE to ChatGPT
- Create an AIGE account and pick a plan, then create a key on your API keys page (or keep your AIGE email and password to hand).
- In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings and turn on developer mode. On a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace an admin may have to allow it.
- Create a new app (connector) named AIGE with the server URL https://aige.ws/mcp, and choose OAuth for sign-in.
- On the AIGE screen that opens, paste your key or sign in, then allow access.
- In a chat, turn on the AIGE app and ask for a clip. ChatGPT starts the job and checks back until the video is ready.
https://aige.ws/mcpWhat to ask ChatGPT
“Make a 5-second clip of a latte being poured, slow push-in, 9:16”
A Kling V3 clip with sound and a link to watch and download it
“Animate this product photo: slow turn, soft light sweeping”
A clip that starts on your picture as its first frame
“What would 8 seconds on Veo 3.1 cost me?”
A credit estimate before anything runs
“Make three variations of the first shot”
Three clips queued at once and followed until each is ready
Check your ChatGPT plan before you start
AIGE's video tools create things, so ChatGPT needs full MCP support to use them. OpenAI's help centre documents developer mode with full MCP apps for ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces on the web, where an admin may need to turn it on. Other reports say Plus and Pro accounts get read-only connectors, which would not run a generation. OpenAI changes this often: check developer mode in your own ChatGPT settings before you buy an AIGE plan for it.
If your ChatGPT plan can't run the tools, the same AIGE plan works in Claude (custom connectors on every plan), in Cursor and Claude Code with an API key, and in the AIGE studio itself.

What a clip costs when ChatGPT makes it
Clips are paid in AIGE credits, at the same prices as the studio. A 5-second Kling V3 clip with sound is 84 credits ($2.39 on Starter); 10 seconds is 168 credits and needs the Pro plan or above. Which models and lengths you can run depends on your AIGE plan; ChatGPT gets a plain refusal if your plan does not include one.
Your ChatGPT subscription and your AIGE plan are separate: AIGE's plan pays for the video.
What to know first
- AIGE is not in ChatGPT's app directory; it is added by URL in developer mode.
- Developer mode with tools that create things depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.
- One clip is at most 15 seconds on Kling, 8 on Veo 3.1 and 30 on Seedance 2.5; longer videos are several clips cut together in the AIGE Canvas.
- AIGE has no lip-sync and no text-to-speech; Veo 3.1 and Seedance make their own sound with the clip.
- A clip takes minutes, not seconds; ChatGPT checks back until it is done.
AI video in ChatGPT: questions people ask
Can ChatGPT generate videos with Kling or Veo?
Yes, through a connected tool. Add AIGE to ChatGPT in developer mode and ChatGPT can run Kling V3, Veo 3.1 and Seedance clips from the chat, if your ChatGPT plan allows custom MCP apps.
Which ChatGPT plans can use AIGE?
OpenAI documents developer mode with full MCP apps for Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces on the web. Reports say Plus and Pro get read-only connectors, which can't run a generation. Check developer mode in your ChatGPT settings.
How much does a video from ChatGPT cost?
It uses AIGE credits: 84 for a 5-second Kling V3 clip with sound, 168 for 10 seconds. On Starter ($8.55 a month) a 5-second clip is $2.39.
Is AIGE an official ChatGPT app?
No. It is not listed in ChatGPT's app directory; you add it yourself by its URL in developer mode.
Can ChatGPT animate my own photo?
Yes. Give ChatGPT a link to the picture, or name a saved AIGE character, and ask for a clip: the picture becomes the first frame and the prompt sets the motion.
