Connect AIGE to Cursor
- Create an AIGE account and pick a plan, then create a key on your API keys page.
- Add AIGE to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or to .cursor/mcp.json in one project, with your key in place of the example.
- Restart Cursor and check that AIGE's tools show up in the MCP settings.
- Ask the agent for an image or a clip: it starts the job, checks back and gives you the file's link.

}What to ask Cursor
“Make a 16:9 hero image for this landing page: a ceramic mug on travertine, soft light”
An image link the agent can download into /public
“Generate four square product shots in the style of the existing ones”
Four images in one ask, each with its own link
“Make a 5-second background loop of slow clouds for the header”
A Kling V3 clip, followed until it is ready
“How many credits do I have left?”
Your AIGE balance and plan, with nothing charged
Keep the key out of your repository
The key in mcp.json spends your AIGE credits. Put AIGE in ~/.cursor/mcp.json in your home folder rather than in a project's .cursor/mcp.json if the project is shared or public, and never commit the key.
Every key you create is listed on your AIGE API keys page. Revoke one there and it stops working.
What assets cost from Cursor
The same as in the AIGE studio. A 1K Nano Banana 2 image is 8 credits and Nano Banana Pro is 15; a 5-second Kling V3 clip with sound is 84. On Starter ($8.55 a month) that is $0.23 an image. Ask the agent to call antix_pick_model first for an estimate; it charges nothing.
What to know first
- Cursor connects with an API key, not a sign-in screen.
- The agent gets a link to each file; saving it into your project is a separate step it can do for you.
- Each image and clip uses AIGE credits from your plan; Cursor's own subscription does not cover them.
- One clip is at most 15 seconds on Kling and 30 on Seedance 2.5; cut longer videos together in the AIGE Canvas.
AI images in Cursor: questions people ask
Can Cursor generate images?
Cursor's agent can, through an MCP server. Add AIGE to mcp.json with an API key and the agent can ask AIGE's image and video models for assets while it builds your project.
Where do I put the AIGE config in Cursor?
In ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or .cursor/mcp.json for one. Add a server named aige with the URL https://aige.ws/mcp and an Authorization header carrying your AIGE key, then restart Cursor.
What does it cost to make images from Cursor?
Connecting costs nothing. Images use AIGE credits: 8 for a 1K Nano Banana 2 image, $0.23 on Starter. Plans start at $8.55 a month.
Does it work in Claude Code too?
Yes: run claude mcp add with the HTTP transport, the URL https://aige.ws/mcp and your key as a Bearer header. The tools are the same.
