Connect AIGE to Claude
- Create an AIGE account and pick a plan, then create a key on your API keys page (or keep your AIGE email and password to hand).
- In Claude, open Connectors (under Customize or Settings, depending on your Claude app) and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it AIGE, paste the server URL https://aige.ws/mcp and continue. Choose to sign in: AIGE uses OAuth.
- Select Connect. On the AIGE screen, paste your key or sign in, then allow access.
- Start a chat and ask for an image. Claude asks AIGE, waits for the render and shows the result in the chat.
https://aige.ws/mcpWhat to ask Claude
“Make a 4:5 photo of our candle on a linen table, morning light”
A Nano Banana 2 image in the chat, saved to your AIGE history
“Put Mia, my saved character, in three new scenes for this week's posts”
Three images that start from your saved character's photos
“Which model should I use for a poster with clean text, and what will it cost?”
A model suggestion and a credit estimate, with nothing charged
“Send the second one to my Canvas”
The image lands on your AIGE Canvas the next time you open it
Why Claude needs a connector to make images
Claude reads images and writes code, SVG and diagrams, but it does not render photos or illustrations itself. What it can do is use tools over MCP, the Model Context Protocol. A connector gives Claude a set of tools; AIGE's include image and video generation, saved characters and carousel decks.
Claude's connector directory is curated by Anthropic and AIGE is not in it. Claude also lets you add any remote MCP server by its URL as a custom connector, which is how AIGE is added. Anthropic notes that custom connectors are not verified by Anthropic, so only add servers you trust.
- Anthropic: get started with custom connectors using remote MCP (plans, the Free limit of one, and the setup screens; read 15 October 2026)
- AIGE MCP server: every tool and client
What images cost when Claude makes them
The same as in the AIGE studio: images are paid in AIGE credits from your plan. A 1K Nano Banana 2 image is 8 credits, which is $0.23 on Starter ($8.55 a month) and less on bigger plans. Claude can call antix_pick_model and antix_get_credits first, which charge nothing, so you can approve a cost before anything runs.
Your Claude subscription and your AIGE plan are separate: Claude's plan decides how many connectors and messages you get, AIGE's plan pays for the images.
What to know first
- AIGE is not in Claude's connector directory; it is added by URL as a custom connector.
- On Claude's entry plan (Free) you can add one custom connector in total.
- Images are made by AIGE's models, not by Claude, and each one uses AIGE credits.
- A saved character keeps a face recognisable, not identical: review each image before you publish it.
- Generation is asynchronous: Claude checks back until the image is ready, which usually takes seconds, sometimes longer.
AI images in Claude: questions people ask
Can Claude generate images?
Not by itself: Claude writes, codes and reads images, but does not render photos or illustrations. Connect an image tool such as AIGE as a custom connector and Claude can ask it for images in the chat.
How do I add AIGE to Claude?
Open Connectors in Claude, choose Add custom connector, name it AIGE and paste https://aige.ws/mcp. On the AIGE screen that opens, paste an API key or sign in, then allow access.
Is AIGE in Claude's connector directory?
No. AIGE is added by its URL as a custom connector, which Claude supports on every plan (Free allows one).
What does image generation in Claude cost with AIGE?
Connecting costs nothing. Images use AIGE credits: a 1K Nano Banana 2 image is 8 credits, $0.23 on the Starter plan. Plans start at $8.55 a month.
Can Claude keep the same face across images?
Yes, through a saved AIGE character: ask Claude to use the character and every image starts from its photos. Faces can still drift with hard angles or heavy styles, so check before publishing.
Can Claude make videos through AIGE too?
Yes. The same connector runs Kling V3, Veo 3.1 and Seedance: a 5-second Kling V3 clip with sound is 84 credits.
