AIGE has no one-button poster generator. You make the picture on the Canvas, then build the poster in Atelier, its design editor, with your words as live text and your brand colors, fonts and logo. Export as PNG, JPG, WebP, SVG or PDF. The picture costs credits; the text, brand kit and export take none.
What AIGE gives you for a poster
Two tools share the job. The Canvas, the board AIGE opens on a laptop (what is an AI canvas explains it), makes the picture. Atelier, AIGE's design editor, handles the rest: the page size, your words, your brand kit and the export. This guide follows the laptop flow.
The words are the reason for the split. AIGE's own image generator page says small text inside a picture can still come out wrong, so on this route your poster's words are text layers you type in Atelier, not pixels a model drew. If you would rather have a model draw the lettering, AIGE's routing guide lists posters among the jobs of GPT Image 2 (from 1 credit on its Low setting), and the same advice applies: read every word before you use it.
You have to be signed in to open Atelier. On a laptop the Canvas has no Apps menu, so go straight to aige.ws/atelier. Pages that show the left-hand rail have an Apps menu with Atelier in it, listed as "AI design studio". The AI YouTube thumbnails guide walks through the same Atelier steps for a 1280 by 720 thumbnail.
Poster sizes and templates in Atelier
Atelier's home screen offers 31 formats under Start a design, plus a Custom size of 40 to 8000 pixels a side. Only one is named for posters. Poster A3 is 1587 by 2245 pixels, the same shape as A3 paper (0.707 wide for every 1 high, on both). These portrait formats are the likeliest poster sizes:
Format | Pixels |
|---|---|
Poster A3 | 1587 by 2245 |
A4 Document | 794 by 1123 |
Flyer A5 | 559 by 794 |
US Letter | 816 by 1056 |
Pinterest Pin | 1000 by 1500 |
Instagram Post | 1080 by 1350 (4:5) |
Start from a template lists 219 starter templates, 15 of them in the Print category. Type "poster" into the search box and nine come up. Six of those are Instagram carousel decks on a layout called Poster, five slides of 1080 by 1350 pixels each, which are not print sheets. The other three are single-page posters, and the Event Flyer is the nearest layout with a picture area at the top:
Template | Format | Where a picture goes |
|---|---|---|
Event Poster | A4 Document | No picture area: a headline, a dark panel and date lines on a gradient. |
Gig Poster | Pinterest Pin | A Photo slot, a circle about 400 pixels across. |
Tour Dates Poster | Pinterest Pin | No picture area: a list of dates in type. It is filed under Music. |
Event Flyer | A4 Document | A Photo slot across the top 46 percent of the page, with a dark fade shape over its lower part. |
All four carry placeholder words you replace. They are starting points, not finished posters. To reuse a poster at another size, the Resize button either resizes the open design or makes copies in other formats. It scales every piece by one factor and keeps each piece's center at the same relative spot, so check each copy.
Step 1: make the picture on the Canvas
Open the Make sheet from the hexagon button in the prompt island, choose the Picture tab, pick a model tile and set Ratio. The model picker guide covers where each tile sits and what it is for.
Shape. Choose the shape of the area the picture will fill. A picture that covers a Poster A3 page falls between 3:4 and 2:3: the page is 0.707 wide for every 1 high, 3:4 is 0.75 and 2:3 is 0.667. 3:4 is on every Ratio row, and 2:3 is on some of them. Either shape needs about 6 percent trimmed to cover the page, and the crop in Step 2 handles that. With Recraft Flash, pick 3:4, because its own ratio list has no 2:3. For the Gig Poster's round Photo slot, pick 1:1. What is an aspect ratio explains the notation.
Words in the prompt. Describe the picture, not the poster. Ask for "no text, no letters, no logos", and say where the empty space is so your headline has somewhere to sit. The prompt guide lists what a prompt can name, and camera and light in AI prompts shows what naming a light or a lens changed in four test runs.
Which tile. Recraft Flash costs 1 credit a picture, but it takes words only: no reference photo and no saved character. If the poster has to show your product or your face, pick a tile that takes references, or skip the Canvas and drop your own photo into Atelier.
Size. A picture's own pixels set how sharp it looks on a big page. Our Recraft Flash cover, made through AIGE's MCP at 3:4, came out 768 by 1024. Stretched to cover a 1587 by 2245 page it is enlarged about 2.2 times, and the extra pixels add no detail. Select a picture on the Canvas and the inspector's Details usually list its Source size. Nano 2.1 has a Size row (8 credits at 1K, 16 credits at 2K), and what is AI image resolution explains what a bigger size buys.
Price. On an agent turn (the dial on Fast, Auto or Deep) the Send button shows only the turn fee's floor, from 2 credits on Fast or Auto and from 6 credits on Deep, and the pictures are priced on top. With Recraft Flash pinned, the Make sheet's note reads "Recraft Flash · 1 cr, plus the message", so one picture on Fast comes to from 3 credits. Manual has no turn fee and shows the exact price, but its list does not carry Recraft Flash.
When the picture lands on the board, select it and press Download in the bar over it, or right-click and choose Download. Download and export your AI images and videos lists every way out of the Canvas.
Step 2: put the picture and your words on the page
Open aige.ws/atelier while signed in. Under Start a design, click Poster A3, or pick a template under Start from a template. A blank design is a white page.
Drag the downloaded picture onto the page. Dropped on the bare page, it lands where you drop it, 62 percent as wide as the page and in its own proportions, so resize it to cover the page. Dropped onto a shape, it fills that shape instead, cropped to fit: that is how the Gig Poster's Photo circle takes a picture. On the Event Flyer, drop the picture on the upper half of the photo area, because the lower part is a dark fade shape that would take it instead. Hold Alt (Option on a Mac) to place the picture instead of filling. Double-click a placed picture to crop it.
Open the Text tab and add a heading, a subheading or body text, or double-click any text in a template to replace its placeholder. The toolbar over the stage sets the font, size, color, alignment and effects such as Shadow, Outline and Neon. The font picker lists 71 font families, plus any you uploaded.
Your own photo or artwork goes in through the Uploads tab (PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG). It lands in the same kind of square box described below, so stretch it to the picture's shape.
Atelier's AI tab can make the picture on the page instead. Describe it, press Generate, and it asks for the page's closest shape, 2:3 on a Poster A3 page, at 1K for 8 credits. It runs the same model as the picker's Nano 2.1 tile, though the button's hint still reads Nano Banana 2. The picture lands in a square box about 62 percent as wide as the page, and the box shows the middle of the picture until you stretch it to the picture's shape. It saves the download and the drop, and it costs more than a Recraft Flash picture.
Let Magic Design lay out the page
Under the templates in the Design tab sits Magic Design. Describe a whole design (its own example is "bold sale poster, 50% off, neon"), press Generate layout, and a text model lays out a new design at the size of the one you have open: a background color, a few shapes and text blocks, with the words written for you. It opens as a fresh design and leaves your open one alone.
Know the limits. It adds no picture, and it does not read your brand kit. The brief is capped at 600 characters, and the server allows 60 a day per account. Its instructions ask for one bold social-media graphic of three to seven pieces, so read the result as a first layout to edit. We found no credit charge on it: the function calls a text model, and the credit table has no entry for it.
Your brand kit: colors, fonts and logo
The Brand tab keeps your colors, fonts and logos for every design, up to 24 colors, 12 fonts, 12 uploaded fonts and 12 logos. The thumbnails guide has the button-by-button steps for filling it. What matters on a poster is how the kit meets a layout with many pieces.
Where it shows up. Saved colors appear as a Brand row in the color picker, beside the Document and Recent rows, so a heading, a panel and a shape can all take the same swatch. Uploaded fonts appear under Your fonts in the font picker.
Nothing applies itself. A template keeps its own colors and fonts until you select a piece and choose a swatch or a font. On a template, go piece by piece, or start from a blank Poster A3 page and build up.
Logos land big. Pressing a saved logo places a large square box, about 62 percent of the page's width, that shows only the middle of the logo. A wide wordmark is cut off until you stretch the box to the logo's shape and then shrink it. AIGE does not generate logos, so the logo in the kit is one you made or own.
The kit lives in this browser's Atelier storage, and a copy goes to your account. On an agent turn on the Canvas, AIGE's agent is told up to eight of your colors and four of your fonts (the names saved with + Add selected font, not uploaded font files) and is instructed to use those exact values, so it can steer a prompt toward your palette. That is an instruction to a model, and we did not test how closely a picture follows it. We found no code that loads the account copy back into Atelier in another browser, so expect to set the kit up again there.
Export a poster as PNG or PDF
Press Export in the editor's top bar. Pick the multiplier first, 1×, 2× or 3×, then a row. For a poster the rows that matter are PNG, PNG · transparent, JPG, WebP, SVG · vector and PDF. JPG and WebP are saved at quality 0.92. The download guide has the whole menu, including the animated GIF and video rows, so this article does not repeat it. A poster comes out at its page size times the multiplier:
Multiplier | Poster A3 comes out at |
|---|---|
1× | 1587 by 2245 |
2× (where the menu starts) | 3174 by 4490 |
3× | 4761 by 6735 |
The PDF is built differently from the PNG. It has one page for each page of the design, and each page is drawn as one JPEG at the multiplier you picked, so a PDF reader cannot select the text, although links you gave a piece still work. The PDF page size is the design's pixel size counted as PDF points, so a Poster A3 page measures about 560 by 792 mm at 100 percent, against 297 by 420 mm for A3 paper. The shape matches, so scale the page to fit the sheet when you print, and ask your print shop what it needs.
We found no bleed, crop marks, CMYK or print resolution setting in Atelier, and the PDF is RGB. Use PNG when the poster stays on screens and PDF when you need to hand over a file. Both are made in your browser and take no credits.
Honest note: We read this from AIGE's code on 28 October 2026 and did not record it in a session, so there are no screenshots and we did not run an export, not even a 3× Poster A3. The sizes and counts come from the code. The page-size and print arithmetic is ours, and we did not render the templates to look at them. We did not test what Magic Design's layouts look like, whether an agent turn's picture follows your brand colors, or how a print shop handles the PDF. The steps are the laptop's. On a phone the phone board is per account, and we did not check the poster steps there.
Quick answers
Question | Answer |
|---|---|
Does AIGE have an AI poster generator? | Not as one button. You make the picture on the Canvas and build the poster in Atelier. Atelier's Magic Design can also lay out a page of text and shapes from a short description, but it adds no picture. |
Is there a free AI poster generator? | Not on AIGE. A new account starts with 0 credits, and every AI picture is paid in credits from a plan. The FAQ on what AIGE costs has the terms. Placing a picture, the text, the brand kit and the export take no credits. |
What size is a poster in Atelier? | Poster A3 is 1587 by 2245 pixels. A4 Document is 794 by 1123, and Custom takes 40 to 8000 pixels a side. A 2× export doubles each side. |
Can I use my brand colors, fonts and logo? | Yes. Save them in Atelier's Brand tab, up to 24 colors, 12 fonts and 12 logos, then select a piece and tap a swatch or a font. The kit does not apply itself, and AIGE does not generate logos: upload one you own. |
Can I export a poster as a PDF? | Yes, with the PDF row of the Export menu. Each page is a picture, the page size is the design's pixels counted as points, and we found no bleed or crop marks. A PNG row sits beside it. |
Can the AI write the words on the poster? | Magic Design writes the words of a layout it makes, and you edit them. For lettering inside a picture, AIGE's guide lists posters among GPT Image 2's jobs, but AIGE says small text can come out wrong, so read every word. |
How much does the poster picture cost? | A Recraft Flash picture is 1 credit, and from 3 credits on a Fast agent turn, which starts at 2 credits (Deep starts at 6 credits). Atelier's AI tab picture is 8 credits. Atelier's text, brand kit and export take no credits. |
Does this work on a phone? | This guide follows the laptop. On a phone AIGE shows the phone board only on accounts where it is switched on, and we did not check the poster steps there. |
