Krea AI is a creative tool for making and editing images and video, with a Realtime mode that updates an image as you draw or type. As of October 2026 it has a Free entry with 100 units a day and paid plans from $9 a month. It also runs other companies' models.
What Krea does
Krea describes its product as "AI-powered creative tools for everyone", with a developer API next to the app. Its docs name these tools:
Image and video generation and editing. Krea 3 is its latest in-house image model; it generates images and edits them from plain-language instructions.
Realtime updates images live as you draw, type or stream from a camera.
Enhancer upscales images and video and adds fine detail.
Krea Agent takes one brief and runs the other tools for you.
Nodes chain models into reusable workflows and apps.
Training teaches Krea a style, a product or a character, using LoRA training.
Krea's menus also list Moodboards, Audio, Edit, 3D and Motion Transfer. It has a Lip Sync tool too, which AIGE does not offer. Besides its own Krea models, Krea runs other companies' models: the homepage names Seedance, Nano Banana, GPT image models, Wan, Kling and MiniMax. You can reach Krea from ChatGPT and Claude, and its docs describe an API with an MCP server.
Krea AI pricing, as of October 2026
Krea meters work in compute units. These are the monthly prices on its pricing page on 27 October 2026. Yearly billing is cheaper, and the page labels it 40% off.

The page turns units into outputs: 5,000 units is about 112 Nano Banana 2 generations or about 15 Seedance 2.0 Fast videos, and 20,000 units is 450 Nano Banana 2 generations or about 65 Seedance 2.5 videos. On Basic, Pro and Max, units do not roll over to the next month. The pricing FAQ says Basic, Pro, Max, Business and Enterprise include a commercial license.
Is Krea AI free?
Krea has a Free entry on its pricing page: $0 and 100 units a day. The FAQ says the daily allowance refills each day, and once it is used up you wait for the refill or move to a paid plan. Free includes Krea 3, Krea Agent, real-time models, limited LoRA training of up to 50 images and limited image upscaling up to 2K.
The plan matrix marks several things as not included on Free: all image models, all video models, Krea Nodes, App Builder and the commercial license. The FAQ lists only paid plans as including the commercial license, so check that before you use results for client or marketing work.
Where a multi-model studio like AIGE differs
Paying. Krea meters in units. AIGE meters in credits and shows the cost next to Generate before a run. The two jobs Krea's page converts for Basic, a Nano Banana 2 image and a Seedance 2.0 Fast video, cost 8 credits for a 1K image and 121 credits for a 5-second clip at 720p in AIGE. A unit and a credit are different sizes, so line the two up in dollars on the plan you would buy.
Keeping a face. Krea's route is LoRA training on your own images, up to 50 on Basic and Pro and 2,000 on Max. AIGE saves a character from 3 to 5 reference photos, and you pick it for any image or clip.
Putting shots together. Krea has a node editor. AIGE has a Canvas board where each image lands, can be animated with a video model, and is cut together on a timeline.
Starting. Krea lets you try its Free entry every day. In AIGE planning is free, but the first image or clip needs a paid plan.
